Nintendo has announced the development of a new Zelda adventure hitting Nintendo DS. The game has visuals mixing the 3D cel shading beauty of the Wind Waker and the crisp sprite work of the Minish Cap to create the “Phantom Hourglass”.
The title will have touch screen interaction as well as traditional Zelda gameplay elements.

Though originally reticent to put its full weight into the online arena, Nintendo has officially announced (after a few confused announcements of logged connections) its one millionth unique player on its Wifi Connection service. Reportedly belonging to a Japanese player logging in for a dose of Animal Crossing: Wild World, the total represents a surprisingly fast adoption of the service. Read the rest of this entry »

Yesterday morning was the big event every attendee at the 2006 Game Developers Conference was waiting for, the keynote speech by Nintendo President Satoru Iwata. While most of us probably weren’t expecting a lot of news about Nintendo’s next-generation console codenamed Revolution, it doesn’t mean we still didn’t have our fingers crossed. Iwata’s speech was entitled, “Disrupting Development,” which was meant to inform the public about the new approach Nintendo has adopted for the games industry.

So you thought the WW2 genre was stald did you? RO is the “full game” of the incredibly popular UT2004 mod of the same name. Dev team Tripwire interactive won prizes equalling a millino dollars for the original mod in the Make something unreal (MSU) conrest a while back so its fair to say hopes were high for this release.
